Czech MP condemns Russia's shelling of Odesa

The head of the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic, Markéta Pekarová Adamová, reaffirmed that the current regime in Russia is a terrorist one, as once again evidenced by the shelling of the historic center of Odesa in Ukraine.

She recalled on Twitter that on November 15, 2022, the Chamber adopted a resolution designating the Russian regime as terrorist.

"Russia's attack on Odesa, as a result of which children were injured and a historically important cathedral was destroyed, fully proves the veracity of the adopted text," she wrote.

According to Pekarová Adamová, the Czech Republic will continue to support Ukraine "in protecting it from criminals."

As Ukrinform reported earlier, Russian forces launched a massive attack on Odesa and the region overnight Sunday, July 23. The invaders fired off 19 missiles of various types.

The strike hit Odesa’s historical center, included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. Among the buildings partly destroyed was the famous Transfiguration Cathedral.
