Ukraine expects more assistance packages next week - Zelensky
President Volodymyr Zelensky of Ukraine thanked Germany and Lithuania for new packages of defense and security support for Ukraine.
The Ukrainian leader expressed gratitude in his latest video address, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
"This week I thank Germany and Lithuania for new packages of defense and security support for us, for our soldiers. Next week, we’re expecting new decisions– new packages. We are working so that our defense industry has even more achievements and opportunities," he said.
According to the president, the results are out there, and everyone can see them.
"And these are fair, correct results that show the aggressor state what its aggression is, they are shown not on TV, but precisely where this war came from to Ukraine, to the region, and to the world. Those who bring problems to others, let them feel what these problems are. And I thank the SBU, our Navy, and every soldier who restores justice and makes Russia grow accustomed to losses," Zelensky said.
The head of state expressed his conviction that Ukraine, the world, and the truth will win this war.
"The main thing is that all of us in Ukraine and all of us around the world, who value a normal life, work 100 percent without any pause for the sake of victory. Our unity, our ability to build up strength, as well as the ability to bring the war back to where it came from – this is what’s most tangible for Russia," he believes.
As reported, on August 4, the Ministry of Finance said that since the outset of the full-scale invasion, the German government had provided financial assistance in the amount of $1.55 billion, with the lion's share of the funding being grants.
