Yermak: Ukraine preparing steps to implement Peace Formula following meeting in Jeddah

The implementation of President Zelensky's Peace Formula is the restoration of respect for the UN Charter and international law which was destroyed by Russia's war of aggression against Ukraine.

"The implementation of the Peace Formula is the restoration of respect for the UN Charter and international law which was destroyed by Russia's war of aggression against Ukraine," Head of the President’s Office Andriy Yermak said at a meeting with representatives of Ukrainian and foreign mass media, talking about the Peace Formula, which the Ukrainian side presented to the participants in consultations in Jeddah on August 5-6, the President's Office reports.

He noted that the Ukrainian side formed a common vision for each of the ten points of President Zelensky's Peace Formula which reflects the positions of the majority of countries participating in the implementation of Ukraine's peace initiative.

The Head of the President’s Office emphasized that the Peace Formula was built precisely on the key principles of the UN Charter and international law, as well as on respect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of countries within their internationally recognized borders.

"It is these principles that were unanimously defined by the participants in the meeting of national security advisors held in Jeddah," he said.

In addition, Yermak informed media representatives about further practical steps to implement the Peace Formula.

"We will continue our work to elaborate the agenda, the documents, conclusions, and agreements we envisage for the implementation of each of the ten points of the Formula," he explained.

Yermak noted that another meeting of the ambassadors of the participating states would be held in the near future to coordinate further actions. Practical steps for the implementation of each point of the Peace Formula will be worked out. In parallel, the preparation of the agenda for the inaugural Global Peace Summit will continue.
