MFA working to get invitation to G20 Summit in India

Ukraine and partners are working to be among those invited to the G20 Summit in India.

"We believe that what the Russian Federation is doing regarding the termination of the grain deal is a big challenge not only for African and Asian economies countries but also for the world economies," Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Mykola Tochytskyi said during the United News telethon, Ukrinform reports with reference to lb.ua.

He added that Ukraine wanted to participate in the G20 Summit as economic problems would be discussed there.

Earlier, India’s Minister of External Affairs Subrahmanyam Jaishankar confirmed that Ukraine was not invited to the G20 Summit which will be held in India on September 9-10.

Jaishankar noted that India's decision not to invite Ukraine was made in view of the fact that the G20 deals with growth and development, not conflict settlement which should take place at the UN Security Council.
