Borrell condemns Russia's attack on Chernihiv

EU High Representative Josep Borrell condemned yesterday's Russian attack on Chernihiv.

He addressed the issue on X (formerly known as Twitter), reports Ukrinform.

"Strongly condemn yet another cowardly and deliberate Russian strike on Chernihiv targeting a university and a theatre, causing the death of at least 7 civilians, including children, leaving many more injured.," Borrell stressed.

He added that now the EU - as always - stands with Ukraine.

As Ukrinform reported, on August 19, Russian troops launched a missile attack on the center of Chernihiv. As a result of the strike, seven people died and 148 were injured.

The Russians launched an Iskander-M missile, which has several settings that are programmed in advance.
