Zelensky meets with President of Moldova in Athens
President Volodymyr Zelensky discussed countering Russian aggression, export of Ukrainian grain, and European integration with President of the Republic of Moldova Maia Sandu at the Ukraine-Balkans summit in Athens.
“The heads of state touched upon the pressing issues of bilateral cooperation, regional security, joint opposition to the Kremlin's aggressive policy and Russian hybrid influence,” the President’s Office informs.
The parties also discussed bilateral cooperation in creating alternative routes for Ukrainian grain exports after Russia blocked the Black Sea Grain Initiative.
In addition, the presidents also focused on the important issue of the integration of Ukraine and Moldova into the European Union and common challenges along the path.
