Zelensky meets with U.S. senators
President Volodymyr Zelensky met with U.S. Senators Richard Blumenthal, Lindsey Graham and Elizabeth Warren, who are in Ukraine on a visit.
According to the president’s press service, Zelensky briefed the interlocutors on the situation at the front and emphasized the priority of further bolstering Ukraine's defense capabilities.
Also, the importance of starting the process of transferring F-16 jets to Ukraine, training pilots and further support from the United States in this regard was noted.
It is stressed that Zelensky commended the bicameral and bipartisan support for Ukraine in the U.S. Congress and expressed special gratitude to the President of the United States and the entire American people for their leadership in defense and financial assistance to our country.
“We are sincerely grateful to the President of the United States, the Congress, and the entire American people for the assistance provided to us," Zelensky said.
As reported by Ukrinform, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and Prime Minister of Moldova Dorin Recean discussed the transit of Ukrainian food through Moldova and the development of the relevant infrastructure.
