Fox News expert on Ramaswamy's anti-Ukrainian idea: "criminally stupid"

Fox News expert and Washington Post columnist Mark Thiessen called out the foreign policy views expressed by Vivek Ramaswamy, one of the GOP candidates for the upcoming presidential elections in the U.S. as “criminally stupid.”

Thiessen referred to Ramaswamy’s theses on Russia as "utterly disqualifying" for a potential GOP nominee for the top post, according to a posting on X (former Twitter), reports Ukrinform.

"This by Vivek Ramaswamy is criminally stupid: ‘I will accept Russian control of the occupied territories and pledge to block Ukraine’s candidacy for NATO in exchange for Russia exiting its military alliance with China. I will end sanctions and bring Russia back into the world market. In this way, I will elevate Russia as a strategic check on China’s designs in East Asia.’” Thiessen wrote.

"Like a freshman foreign policy paper. Utterly disqualifying," stated Thiessen.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, Vivek Ramaswamy wrote in The American Conservative magazine he was in favor of handing over the occupied territories of Ukraine to Russia and that he stood against Ukraine joining NATO. This is also what he said at the debate between the Republican candidates on August 23.
