Defense Minister Umerov meets with G7 envoys
Ukraine’s Minster of Defense Rustem Umerov met with the ambassadors of the Group of Seven countries in Kyiv to present his new team.
Umerov reported about the meeting on social media, Ukrinform saw.
“Was happy to meet with G7 Ambassadors. We introduced our team in the Ministry of Defense and presented the vision,” the minister wrote.
He also listed the ministry’s priorities.
“Key priorities for us now: provision of our soldiers, development of victory technologies and transparent operation of lethal and non-lethal procurement agencies, zero tolerance for corruption,” the minister noted.
He expressed gratitude to partners “for all the help they provide to Ukraine - military, political, economic”.
According to Ukrinform, Minister of Defense Rustem Umerov briefed his U.S. counterpart Lloyd Austin on the latest developments on the battlefield.
