Yermak holds phone call with South African president’s advisor

Head of the Ukrainian President’s Office Andriy Yermak had a phone call with the South African Presidential Advisor on national security Sidney Mufamadi.

That’s according to the presidential press service, Ukrinform reports.

"On the instructions of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Head of the Office of the President Andriy Yermak had a phone call with National Security Advisor to the President of the Republic of South Africa Sydney Mufamadi," the statement reads.

Special attention was focused on the process of the implementation of the Ukrainian Peace Formula.

It is noted that the parties discussed the situation in the Middle East and agreed on the necessity of making efforts to de-escalate the conflict, seek peace, and protect civilians. The importance of unimpeded functioning of humanitarian corridors for evacuation and ensuring stable humanitarian supplies was highlighted.

Andriy Yermak expressed gratitude for the active participation of South Africa's delegation in the consultations of national security advisors in Copenhagen and Jeddah. On his part, Sidney Mufamadi confirmed readiness to take part in the upcoming meeting, which will soon be held in Malta, the report reads.

It should be recalled that on Monday, President Volodymyr Zelensky discussed with the Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia Muhammad, Bin Salman Al Saud, the development of bilateral cooperation and preparation for the Global Peace Summit.
