Sweden’s foreign policy to remain focused on Ukraine in coming years – FM Billström

Support for Ukraine will be the main task of Sweden’s foreign policy in the coming years.

The relevant statement was made by Swedish Foreign Affairs Minister Tobias Billström on the social media platform X, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“Sweden’s military, political and economic support for Ukraine is remaining the main foreign policy task of the Swedish government in the coming years,” Billström wrote.

He mentioned that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky spoke at the annual Swedish national conference ‘Society and Defense’ and thanked Sweden for its support.

The Swedish minister ended his post with the words ‘Slava Ukraini’.

A reminder that Ukraine and Sweden are discussing joint work in the field of innovation, as well as the possible transfer of Gripen aircraft to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
