Ukraine has three key tasks for 2024 - PM
This year, Ukraine has three key tasks to fulfill and is asking Poland for assistance to this end.
That’s according to Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal, who spoke at a joint briefing in Kyiv with the head of the Polish government, Donald Tusk, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
"This year, Ukraine has three key tasks and is asking Poland for help," Shmyhal said.
According to the prime minister, the first task is to make sure the European Council approves the multi-year funding programme, the Ukraine Facility.
The head of the Ukrainian government said the second task was to get into the negotiation process on Ukraine’s accession to the EU.
"And thirdly, these are clear and bold decisions at the Washington NATO summit regarding Ukraine's movement towards membership in the Alliance," he added.
The prime minister of Ukraine emphasized that the government hopes for Poland's support in fulfilling all tasks mentioned.
"We are grateful for the support in all these issues and areas," Shmyhal concluded.
As Ukrinform reported earlier, Poland and Ukraine will continue discussing sensitive issues related to history with "mutual delicacy".
