107 countries, intl organizations confirm participation in Peace Summit - Nykyforov

As many as 107 countries and international organizations have confirmed their participation in the inaugural Peace Summit to be held in Switzerland on June 15-16.

Serhiy Nykyforov, the president’s press secretary, announced this on Ukrainian television, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.

"107 countries and international organizations have confirmed their participation in the Peace Summit. The Philippines, Singapore and Timor will be represented in one form or another. The President of Ukraine met with the leaders of these countries in Singapore and Manila," Nykyforov said.

The President's spokesman also reminded that in Singapore, Volodymyr Zelensky participated in the Shangri-La Dialogue security forum. "This is something like the Munich Security Conference, but for this region of the world," Nykyforov said.

 “The main purpose of this visit is to reach out to this part of the world and urge them not to stand aside from our peace initiative - the Peace Summit," said Nykyforov.

As Ukrinform reported, the Global Peace Summit will be held in Switzerland on June 15-16. As expected, heads of state and government from all continents will attend the event. The participating countries will develop a common negotiating position and submit it to Russia.

The Ukrainian peace Formula is a diplomatic mechanism offered by Ukraine to achieve a just end to the war unleashed by Russia.
