Ukraine, Switzerland foreign ministers discuss preparations for Peace Summit

Foreign Ministers of Ukraine and Switzerland Dmytro Kuleba and Ignazio Cassis discussed preparations for the Global Peace Summit and the upcoming Ukraine Recovery Conference in Berlin.

The head of Ukrainian diplomacy said this in a post on the social media platform X following a phone call with his Swiss counterpart, Ukrinform reports.

“Diplomatic work to ensure the broadest possible attendance at the Peace Summit and its success is in full swing. The summit is an opportunity for each country to demonstrate global leadership in restoring just peace and trust in the UN Charter,” Kuleba posted.

He added that Swiss role is also essential in Ukraine recovery efforts.

“I was pleased to hear that Switzerland will continue to make its important contributions to this end, including at the upcoming Ukraine Recovery Conference in Berlin,” Kuleba noted.

As Ukrinform reported, the Global Peace Summit will be held in Switzerland on June 15-16. As expected, heads of state and government from all continents will attend the event. The participating countries will develop a common negotiating position and submit it to Russia.

The Ukrainian peace Formula is a diplomatic mechanism offered by Ukraine to achieve a just end to the war unleashed by Russia.
