Ukraine's presidential chief of staff, Andriy Yermak, has met with Pope Francis to discuss the Ukrainian Peace Formula and preparations for the Global Peace Summit.

Yermak announced this on his Telegram channel, Ukrinform reports.

"During a working visit to Italy, I was hosted by His Holiness Pope Francis in the Vatican. It was an important conversation during which I informed His Holiness about the philosophy of the Peace Formula of President Volodymyr Zelensky and told him why only the Formula offers a path to a just peace. We also spoke about preparations for the Global Peace Summit to be held in Switzerland," Yermak wrote.

He noted that special attention had been paid to the issue of the return of Ukrainian children who were forcibly transferred from the country. Yermak emphasized that Ukraine needs a result, "that's why we are doing everything to return our children."
