Zelensky, Rutte discuss Peace Summit, Ukraine's progress toward EU

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and Prime Minister of the Netherlands Mark Rutte discussed the Global Peace Summit and the progress of the Ukrainian state on the path to joining the European Union.

The head of state reported this via Facebook, Ukrinform saw.

"I met with Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte to discuss the Global Peace Summit and our joint efforts to ensure tangible results for Ukraine,” the president wrote.

Zelensky and Rutte also discussed Ukraine’s progress on the way to the EU.

“I appreciate the Netherlands' leadership in the initiative to provide Patriot systems to our country, as well as its comprehensive military assistance,” Zelensky concluded.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, on June 11, Zelensky arrived in Germany to participate in the Ukraine Recovery Conference and hold talks with Federal Chancellor Olaf Scholz.
