Kornienko discusses needs of Ukrainian front with Vice President of Bundestag
First Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Oleksandr Kornienko met with Vice President of the Bundestag Katrin Goring-Eckardt in Berlin.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the needs on the Ukrainian front. Kornienko posted this on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.
"I am glad to meet with Vice President of the Bundestag Katrin Göring-Eckardt. Our dialogue began immediately with questions about the situation in Ukraine and on the battlefield, as well as legislative initiatives," Kornienko wrote.
At the same time, he informed about the attacks and Russian terror in Ukrainian cities, as well as the consequences of shelling of energy infrastructure.
"In particular, we discussed the needs at the frontline and the importance of military packages to achieve a just victory not only for Ukraine but for the whole world," he said.
The First Deputy Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada also stressed that Ukraine highly appreciates the support of its partners.
As Ukrinform reported earlier, Germany will make a EUR 50 million contribution to the Energy Support Fund for Ukraine.
