Zelensky meets with Italian PM
President Volodymyr Zelensky met with Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni.
According to Ukrinform, this is stated in the President's Telegram.

"I had a productive meeting with Giorgia Meloni. I personally thank Giorgi and the whole of Italy for their security, political, financial and humanitarian support for Ukraine and Ukrainians. I am grateful for all the efforts aimed at protecting lives. We discussed the next steps of our cooperation, in particular Italy's support for Ukraine's air defence system," Zelensky said.
According to him, they also discussed the first inaugural Peace Summit and its expected results.
"I am deeply grateful to Giorgi for his active assistance, which aims to involve as many leaders and states as possible in the Summit and bring a fair peace closer," the Head of State added.
The parties also discussed joint projects with Italy aimed at helping Ukraine restore Odesa and Odesa region.
"Cooperation adds social strength to both our countries. I also highly appreciate Italy's decision to organise the next Ukraine Recovery Conference in Rome in 2025," the President stressed.
As Ukrinform reported earlier, the G7 leaders' summit will be held on 13-14 June in Italy, which holds the presidency of the Group of Seven this year.
