Peace in Ukraine does not mean surrender - Meloni
The peace summit in Switzerland provides a good basis for the international community to agree on a vision of the minimum conditions for a peaceful settlement in Ukraine, but at the same time, peace in Ukraine does not mean surrender, as Russian President Vladimir Putin imagines.
Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni said this in her speech on the second day of the Peace Summit in the Swiss resort town of Burgenstock on Sunday, June 16, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.
"Peace does not mean surrender, as President Putin seems to suggest in his latest declarations. It does not. Confusing peace with subjugation would set a dangerous precedent for everyone," she said.
