Significant progress in talks on security agreement with Czechia – Presidential Office

On the instructions of the President of Ukraine and the Head of the Presidential Office and in pursuance of the G7 Joint Declaration, Deputy Head of the Presidential Office Ihor Zhovkva held another round of talks with the Czech side on signing a bilateral security agreement.

The Presidential Office said this in a post on the Telegram messaging app, Ukrinform reports.

The Czech delegation was headed by David Konecky, Director General for Security and Multilateral Issues of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic.

"The parties noted significant progress in the preparation of the draft future agreement and agreed on further steps to finalize it so that the state leaders could sign the document in the near future," the post reads.

Ukraine has already signed 20 bilateral security agreements, including with all G7 countries.
