Zelensky, Macron discuss next security package
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and French counterpart Emmanuel Macron have discussed the preparation of the next defense package on the sidelines of the NATO summit.
The Ukrainian leader announced this on his Telegram channel, Ukrinform reports.
"On the sidelines of the NATO Summit, together with French President Emmanuel Macron, we discussed the implementation of the Peace Summit decisions, as well as the preparation of the next defense package, security cooperation and training of our military," he wrote.
Zelensky thanked President Macron and the French people for their principled and unwavering support.
Emmanuel Bonne, a foreign policy advisor to French President Emmanuel Macron, earlier told Ukrinform that Ukraine could use French-provided weapons to strike any military targets in Russia that pose a threat to Ukraine, but not the Kremlin.
