Zelensky, Sanchez discuss timeline for delivery of weapons
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has met with Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez on the sidelines of the European Political Community summit in Britain.
Zelensky said this in a post on his Telegram channel, Ukrinform reports.
"On the sidelines of the 4th European Political Community Summit, I met with Spain's Prime Minister, Pedro Sanchez. I extend my gratitude for the unwavering support of Ukraine and the recent decisions regarding the provision of defense assistance. We discussed the timeline for the delivery of weapons and further defense support, the implementation of decisions from the first Global Peace Summit, and the planned thematic conferences on the points of the Peace Formula," he wrote.
Spain announced on July 15 that it had started transferring a new batch of military aid to Ukraine, which includes ten Leopard 2A4 battle tanks, several backhoes and a significant number of anti-tank missiles.
On July 18, Zelensky is visiting the United Kingdom to participate in the 4th European Political Community Summit. Forty-seven heads of state and government are taking part in the meeting, including from 27 EU member states and 20 other countries of the continent.
