Zelensky tables in Parliament bill to prolong martial law, military call-up
President Volodymyr Zelensky of Ukraine submitted to the Verkhovna Rada the draft laws on prolonging martial law and general mobilization.

MP Yaroslav Zhelezniak went to Telegram to predicts that the Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence will consider both bills as early as today before they are voted in the session hall.
"Now it’s the Committee, and today the Rada will approve them at its meeting. It’s from August 12, for 90 days, that is, until November 9. This will be the 12th vote on these issues," Zhelezniak wrote.
As reported earlier, on May 8, the Verkhovna Rada adopted laws on the approval of the President's decrees regarding the extension of martial law and general mobilization in Ukraine from May 14 for 90 days, that is, until August 11, 2024.
