NATO confirms Zelensky’s visit to Alliance HQ
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is scheduled to visit NATO headquarters tomorrow during the Alliance's defense ministers’ meeting.
According to Ukrinform, NATO spokesperson Farah Daghllah confirmed this in a post on social media platform X.
"NATO Secretary General will welcome President of Ukraine Zelensky to NATO HQ on October 17 during the NATO Defense Ministerial. A joint press conference is scheduled for 18:20," the spokesperson announced.
The two-day NATO defense ministers' meeting will start tomorrow in Brussels, with continued support for Ukraine as one of the main topics. Ukraine’s Defense Minister Rustem Umerov is expected to participate in the meeting.
Additionally, an EU summit for heads of state and government will begin in Brussels on Thursday. EU High Representative Josep Borrell indicated that President Zelensky is expected to present Ukraine’s Victory Plan to European leaders during the summit, outlining steps to counter Russian aggression.
