Two-year girl from Dubrovytsia memorized 194 country capitals and 15 car brands

A two-year old Arina Shuhalevych from the town of Dubrovytsia in the Rivne region has won in a contest conducted by the National Registry of Records of Ukraine.

The little girl memorized the capitals of 194 countries and 15 car brands by their trademarks, and now her parents are planning to teach her how to read and speak English.

"We have memorized 115 capitals, so to speak, in one breathing, then I decided to stop because the words for the capitals have already been hard to pronounce," Arina’s mother said.

But once the girl’s father asked her to repeat the word Paramaribo, the capital of Suriname in South America. The mother remembers that back then she told him not to stress out the child, and for the first time she would not manage to pronounce the word. But Arina repeated the word.

Subsequently, the girl's parents asked the organizers of the competition conducted by the National Registry of Records of Ukraine. And so Arina demonstrated her talent in the finals setting a record for Ukraine thanks to her phenomenal memory. Arina’s mother, Iryna Shuhalevych said her daughter is very curious and interested in everything.
