President of Ukrainian World Congress to promote Ukraine's interests in Europe
President of the Ukrainian World Congress (UWC) will visit Greece, Cyprus, Turkey and Azerbaijan to further current Ukrainian issues.
Ukrinform learnt this from the press service of the UWC.
"On April 14-23, 2018, Ukrainian World Congress (UWC) President Eugene Czolij will address current Ukrainian issues during visits to Greece, Cyprus, Turkey and Azerbaijan, where he will meet with high-ranking government officials and Ukrainian communities," the report reads.
During these meetings, the UWC president will raise the importance of action on the part of the international community in response to the hybrid aggression of the Russian Federation; the deployment of a peacekeeping mission in Donbas and a monitoring mission in Crimea; economic, humanitarian and technical assistance to Ukraine; and highlight the progress of reform in Ukraine including the implementation of anti-corruption initiatives.
In the framework of his visit to Greece, Eugene Czolij will participate in a commemorative event marking the 20th anniversary of the UWC member organization – Association of the Ukrainian Diaspora in Greece “Ukrainian-Hellenic Thought.”
