Exhibition of paintings devoted to Kyiv opens at Ukrinform

An exhibition of paintings titled "The River of Life" devoted to Kyiv opened at Ukrinform on Thursday.

The exhibition will last until June 7, according to Olga Kondraska, the author of the works.

"The opening of this exhibition is dedicated to my native city, Kyiv. I wanted to show how diverse the city is in terms of color, emotions, and its vital energy. In this collection of paintings I wanted to reflect how rich Kyiv is in terms of color. Everyone can read and see in the works something of their own. The exhibition itself is open 24 hours a day and will last for two weeks," Kondratska said.

At the same time, the artist clarified that the paintings would also be exhibited at the National Art Museum of Ukraine in a month. The exhibition will also open in the United States in August this year.

Kondratska said that the collection "The River of Life" already included over a hundred paintings, on which Kondratska has been working for more than 15 years. Some of them are devoted to the color perception of the Ukrainian capital and they are presented at the exhibition.

"Most of us forget to look around sometimes. We look at the road, we run, we look at shop windows, and we think what to buy. We forget to look at the sky, at the leaves, and to listen to the birds singing. It's important not to forget the basis, so this collection is about it, so that people remember themselves and get filled with energy and harmony," the artist added.

The exhibition can be seen around the clock in the window of the Ukrinform building at 8/16 Khmelnytskoho Street (Teatralna subway station).
