Ukrainian city of Dnipro, Denmark to cooperate in architecture industry

As part of the Days of Denmark in the Ukrainian city of Dnipro, Mayor Borys Filatov discussed with Ambassador of the Kingdom of Denmark to Ukraine Ruben Madsen the prospects for cooperation in the architecture industry.

“I met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Denmark to Ukraine Ruben Madsen. The ambassador visited the Ukrainian city of Dnipro for the first time, as part of the Days of Denmark in Dnipro. We discussed the prospects for cooperation in the architecture industry. The Copenhagen City Hall’s experience in architecture and urbanism is an example of the cutting-edge approach at reasonable cost. Therefore, we would like to be able to cooperate with Denmark. We have big ambitions,” Dnipro Mayor Borys Filatov wrote on Facebook.

He recalled that a few weeks ago the Dnipro City Council signed a contract with the British company Zaha Hadid Architects, which would design new subway stations in Dnipro.

“We want to change the face of the city. Thanks to the decentralization reform proposed by the Ukrainian president, there are first serious results. We were given the power. Therefore, in addition to solving issues that have accumulated over decades, we also look ahead,” Filatov stressed.
