Public Health Center denies fake reports about five cases of coronavirus in Ukraine
The Public Health Center of Ukraine has denied reports about alleged confirmation of five cases of coronavirus in Ukraine.
"Attention! The reports about five confirmed cases of COVID-19 coronavirus in Ukraine are UNTRUE. We urge the media not to disseminate this information and to inform the press service of the Health Ministry of Ukraine of the sender of this information upon receipt of the letter," the Public Health Center of Ukraine posted on Facebook.
At the same time, one of the former employees of the Public Health Center of Ukraine, Volodymyr Birulya, stated in his publication on Facebook that the e-mail address from which this information was sent coincides with the official e-mail address of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.
"As a former communications director of the Public Health Center of Ukraine, I have been asked about the letters sent. This is FAKE! Unfortunately, the sender's address coincides with the official e-mail address of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine. Personally, I take it as a diversion and call on the Ministry to urgently make an official statement!" Birulya wrote.
