Health Ministry updates list of ‘red zone’ and ‘green zone’ countries

The Ministry of Health of Ukraine has updated the list of countries that are classified as "green zone" or "red zone" depending on a number of active COVID-19 cases per 100,000 population.

According to the list available on the Ministry’s website, the "green zone" now covers the Czech Republic, Greece, Poland, Croatia, Italy, Switzerland, Austria, Cyprus, Slovenia, Slovakia, Hungary, Georgia, Turkey, Egypt.

Ukraine is in the "red zone" having 66.70 active COVID-19 cases per 100,000 population.

In addition, the list of "red zone" countries includes Albania, which has 67.52 active COVID-19 cases per 100,000 population, Bulgaria (68.14 cases), Serbia (104.74 cases).

At the same time, as of July 27, there are no data on the number of active COVID-19 cases per 100,000 population in the United Kingdom, Sweden and Spain.

People arriving from the "red zone" countries are required to undergo 14-day observation or self-isolate and sign up in the Dii Vdoma application.

If a person gets a PCR test for COVID-19 and receives a negative result, it is allowed to cease self-isolation.

As reported, the Cabinet of Ministers set the rate of 55 COVID-19 patients per 100,000 population to determine "red zone" and "green zone" countries.

As of July 28, Ukraine reports 66,575 laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 cases.
