Health Ministry starts talks on COVID-19 vaccines supply for next two years

The Ministry of Health of Ukraine has started negotiations on COVID-19 vaccines supply for 2022-2023.

"As the Minister of Health, I started negotiations on the provision with vaccines in 2022-2023, so that we have contracts [on supply of vaccines]. It is desirable that the contracts are concluded with more than one manufacturer, so that we are not dependent on politics of one or another country, in the territory of which the production of vaccine is located," Health Minister Maksym Stepanov said at a briefing, Ukrinform reports.

As reported, the Ministry of Health reached an agreement on supply of 20 million doses of Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine to Ukraine in 2021.

Ukraine has recorded 2,208 new coronavirus cases in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases to 2,124,535.
