Kyiv reports 298 new COVID-19 cases

Kyiv city has recorded 298 new coronavirus cases in the past day, according to Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko.

"+298 confirmed coronavirus cases (in total, 204,078),” the mayor wrote on Facebook.

Among people who have contracted COVID-19 in Kyiv in the past day are 171 women aged 18-87 years; 13 girls aged between 18 days and 17 years; 103 men aged 18-86 years; and 11 boys aged between 7 months and 17 years.

Ten coronavirus deaths were confirmed in Kyiv over the past day. Since the start of the pandemic, the total number of deaths from COVID-19 in the city has reached 5,004.

At the same time, 1,934 people recovered in Kyiv over the past day. In total, 142,201 Kyiv residents have overcome the disease.

As of May 22, Ukraine reported 2,179,988 laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 cases, including 4,606 new cases recorded over the past 24 hours.
