Red Cross sent 17 more trucks with humanitarian aid to eastern Ukraine last week

The Red Cross sent 17 trucks with humanitarian aid to eastern Ukraine over the past week, the Ukrainian State Border Guard Service has reported.

"Seventeen trucks from the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) carrying humanitarian aid have passed through the Novotroitske checkpoint. The humanitarian cargo, consisting of hygiene kits and building materials, weighing 167.9 tonnes, was delivered to residents of the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine," the report reads.

The State Border Guard Service noted that the occupiers allow the movement on the road corridor to the Novotroitske checkpoint twice a week, but the passenger traffic is significantly limited.
