Ukraine, Israel hold first consultations on cybersecurity
Ukraine is interested in effective cyber partnership with Israel, the Foreign Ministry’s press service has reported.
"Ukraine and Israel held the first consultations in the history of bilateral relations on cybersecurity issues," the report reads.
The Ukrainian side was represented by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Senik and representatives of relevant ministries and departments, and the Israeli side – by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Israel's competent cybersecurity agency.
“Today's realities require an effective system for countering attacks in virtual space. In this context, well-coordinated international cooperation plays an extremely important role. Ukraine is interested in effective cyber partnership with Israel,” Senik stressed.
During the consultations, the parties presented cyber strategies and national cyber security systems of Ukraine and Israel, exchanged experience in countering cyber incidents.
The Ukrainian and Israeli delegations agreed on further steps to develop cooperation in the field of cyber defense and cyber security.
As Ukrinform reported, the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine approved the Cybersecurity Strategy of Ukraine for 2021-2025 at a meeting on May 14.
