Zelensky announces launch of hospitals according to best world standards
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has announced a project to launch hospitals of a new format in accordance with the best world standards.
The head of state said this at the celebrations on the occasion of the Medical Worker Day, which were broadcast on the president's Facebook page, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“One of the steps towards high-quality medical infrastructure will be our new project - the launch of hospitals of a new, qualitatively different format according to the best world standards. Hospitals are equally comfortable for both patients and doctors. We are starting this project this year with regional clinical and regional children's hospitals, which must meet the world's requirements, the level of leading European clinics," the head of state said.
According to him, this is not only about hospitals in the capital and cities with a population of over one million. The president promised that the project will be implemented in each region, and the new facilities will be an example for further renovation of all hospitals in the country.
At the same time, Zelensky reminded that 33 hospitals and 260 rural outpatient clinics have already been rebuilt or repaired within the Great Construction program.
"By the end of this year, our plans include another 30 medical institutions, 340 rural outpatient clinics, and 200 modern reception departments," the president added.
