Finland reinstates entry restrictions for Ukrainians

The Finnish government has decided to reinstate restrictions on unnecessary (tourist) travel by citizens coming from Ukraine, according to a special website of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry.

From September 6 this year, travel for tourist purposes to Finland is allowed only to citizens who arrive with confirmation of the full course of vaccination against COVID-19 and provided that 14 days have passed since they received a second dose of a COVID-19 vaccine.

At the same time, the possibility of entry into Finland with a PCR test has been abolished.

According to the website, Finland recognizes seven vaccines: Pfizer-BionTech, Moderna, AstraZeneca, Johnson & Johnson, BIBP/Sinopharm, Covishield, and CoronaVac.

A month ago, Finland reopened its borders and lifted all entry restrictions for Ukrainian citizens, allowing them to cross the border with both a vaccination certificate and a negative PCR test taken no later than 72 hours prior to entry.
