Ukraine reports 5,744 new COVID-19 cases, 101 deaths

Ukraine has recorded 5,744 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours, the Ukrainian Health Ministry has reported on Facebook.

"Some 5,744 new confirmed cases of coronavirus disease COVID-19 (including 629 cases among children and 95 cases among healthcare workers) were recorded in Ukraine on September 15, 2021," the report reads.

According to the report, 101 coronavirus-related deaths, 1,507 hospitalizations, and 1,499 recoveries were registered in Ukraine on September 15.

As many as 2,331,540 people in Ukraine have contracted coronavirus, 2,226,629 have recovered, and 54,651 have died since the pandemic began. A total of 12,377,327 PCR tests have been performed.

The largest number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours was recorded in Lviv region (558), Kharkiv region (498), Dnipropetrovsk region (415), Kyiv (362), and Odesa region (347).

Some 4,640 new COVID-19 cases were recorded in Ukraine on September 14.
