Nemchinov discusses public administration reform with SIGMA experts
Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers Oleh Nemchinov has discussed the public administration reform with the experts of SIGMA (Support for Improvement in Governance and Management) Program.
"I had the honor to discuss with my European colleagues that the adoption of a new Strategy for Public Administration Reform until 2025 was an important step forward. They also spoke about the importance of reforming the remuneration of civil servants, reforming the structure of ministries and introducing a human resource management information system (HRMIS) at public bodies (HRMIS),” Nemchinov wrote on his Telegram channel.
According to him, the parties raised the issues of the basic assessment of the public administration system of Ukraine, conducted in 2018 in line with the principles of SIGMA, which became a good basis for updating the current Public Administration Reform Strategy and allowed focusing on reform processes.
SIGMA Program is one of the most prestigious analytical centers in the European Union. It was launched in 1992 at the initiative of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development and the European Union.
SIGMA assists countries in planning and delivering their priority reforms through bilateral technical assistance projects, regional events and horizontal initiatives to support the European Commission in further developing its focus on public administration reform, including public financial management.
