Ukraine reports 8,267 new COVID-19 cases
Ukraine has recorded 8,267 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours, the Ukrainian Health Ministry has reported on Facebook.
"Some 8,267 new confirmed cases of coronavirus disease COVID-19 (including 715 cases among children and 157 cases among healthcare workers) were recorded in Ukraine on September 24, 2021," the report reads.
According to the report, 133 coronavirus-related deaths, 2,035 hospitalizations, and 2,821 recoveries were registered in Ukraine on September 24.
As many as 2,387,750 people in Ukraine have contracted coronavirus, 2,243,209 have recovered, and 55,557 have died since the pandemic began. A total of 12,673,213 PCR tests have been performed.
The largest number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours was recorded in Kharkiv region (929), Dnipropetrovsk region (751), Lviv region (677), Zaporizhia region (556), and Donetsk region (503).
Some 9,058 new COVID-19 cases were recorded in Ukraine on September 23.
