Over 132,000 COVID-19 vaccine doses administered in Ukraine on Sep 28

Over 132,000 people were vaccinated against COVID-19 in Ukraine on September 28, the Ukrainian Health Ministry has reported on Facebook.

"As many as 132,246 people were vaccinated against COVID-19 in the past 24 hours, on September 28, 2021. Some 75,188 people received their first dose, and 57,058 people were fully vaccinated," the report reads.

According to the ministry, 897 mobile vaccination teams, 3,063 vaccination sites, and 345 vaccination centers were operating across the country in the past day.

A total of 12,491,987 doses have been administered in Ukraine since it launched the COVID-19 vaccination campaign, with 6,926,717 people receiving their first dose and 5,565,270 people receiving both doses (two people received their first dose abroad).

Some 9,666 new COVID-19 cases were confirmed in Ukraine on September 28.
