Denisova, Greek president discuss protection of human rights and freedoms

Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights Liudmyla Denisova and President of the Hellenic Republic Katerina Sakellaropoulou have discussed the protection of human rights and freedoms in the countries.

In a post on Facebook, Denisova wrote: "We discussed the protection of human rights and freedoms in our countries. Mrs. President noted the importance of the ombudsman institution in ensuring a balance between the policy of public authorities and the interests of society.”

According to Denisova, Sakellaropoulou also congratulated on the admission of Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights to the Association of Mediterranean Ombudsmen.

Denisova stressed that the interaction of ombudsmen helps to strengthen relations between the states.
