Zelensky inspects reconstructed school in Mariupol
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has visited School No. 26 in Mariupol, which was reconstructed as part of the Large Construction program, the presidential press service has reported.
According to the report, new heating systems were installed in the educational institution, the facade was insulated, and engineering and electrical networks were replaced. The dining room equipment was also updated, and the school's classrooms were equipped with new educational technology.
A football pitch with artificial grass, a running track, basketball and volleyball courts, and a gym were set up on the territory of the institution.
"It feels like a modern space for acquiring knowledge. There are all the conditions to engage in various activities. There should be more schools of this kind in the city," Zelensky said.
Head of Donetsk Regional State Administration Pavlo Kyrylenko acquainted Zelensky with the implementation of the Large Construction program in the Donetsk region. In particular, more than 60 kilometers of roads and three bridges are being repaired in the region this year.
Some 11 schools, eight kindergartens, and six medical institutions are being reconstructed under the program. Three cultural and three sports facilities, including a cycling sports center in Lyman, are being created.
