Ukraine reports 12,983 new COVID-19 cases

Ukraine recorded 12,983 new coronavirus cases on October 15, according to the Ukrainian Ministry of Health.

"Ukraine recorded 12,983 new confirmed cases of coronavirus disease COVID-19 (including 1,105 children and 204 health workers) on October 15, 2021," the ministry wrote on Facebook, Ukrinform reports

On October 15, Ukraine recorded 2,859 COVID-19 hospitalizations, 277 deaths related to the disease, and 5,874 recoveries.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, 2,623,882 people in Ukraine have contracted COVID-19, 2,322,456 have recovered and 60,414 have died. The total number of conducted PCR tests has reached 13,524,231.

It is noted that 97% of those hospitalized with COVID-19 in September were not vaccinated.
