Liashko: 34% of adults in Ukraine received at least one dose of COVID-19 vaccine

In Ukraine, 34% of adults have received at least one dose of COVID-19 vaccine, according to Minister of Health Viktor Liashko.

“As of today, more than 34% of Ukrainians aged 18 and older have received at least one dose of COVID-19 vaccine. People aged 60 and older - 32%. The best vaccination rates among people aged 60 and older have been recorded in Kyiv city (60%) and Lviv region (almost 51%),” Liashko said at a briefing on November 11, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.

According to the health minister, the best vaccination rates among people of this age group have been recorded among people between the age of 60 and 69, of whom 41% received at least one dose.  In the capital and Lviv region, vaccinated rates among people of this age group have already reached 80%. Poltava and Kherson region also crossed the 50% mark.

Liashko reminds that 20 million doses have been administered in Ukraine since the launch of the vaccination campaign.

"It took almost seven months to reach the first 10 million, and a little more than two months to reach the second 10 million," the minister said.
