Kyiv records 1,609 new COVID-19 cases
Kyiv city recorded 1,609 new coronavirus cases on November 16, Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko wrote on his Facebook page.
“As many as 1,609 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in the capital over the past day, 62 people have died. Overall, 7,008 lethal cases from the virus have been recorded since the start of the pandemic. A total number of confirmed cases has reached 282,397,” he wrote on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.
Among people who have contracted COVID-19 in Kyiv over the course of the past day are 900 women aged 18-97 years, 619 men aged 18-91 years, 38 girls aged 1-17 years, and 52 boys aged between four months and 17 years.
According to Klitschko, 153 patients with coronavirus, 226 patients with suspected COVID-19 and pneumonia were hospitalized on November 16.
At the same time, 980 people have recovered over the course of the past day. In total, 241,577 Kyiv residents have overcome the disease.
As reported, Ukraine recorded 18,668 new COVID-19 cases on November 16.
