Shmyhal announces launch of Ukrainian National Center for Peacebuilding
The Cabinet of Ministers has approved a decision to launch the Ukrainian National Center for Peacebuilding.
Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal wrote this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.
"We are launching the Ukrainian National Center for Peacebuilding. The government has approved arrangements for the use of funds for the creation of registers and monitoring systems. This will allow the institution to start activities and collect evidence of violations of the rights of Ukrainian citizens in the temporarily occupied territories," he wrote.
Shmyhal stressed that the Ukrainian authorities will record all violations of the rights of Ukrainians in the temporarily occupied territories and will seek justice in all ways provided by international law.
Earlier, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories Iryna Vereshchuk said that Ukraine would establish the Ukrainian National Peacebuilding Center by the end of the year to gather evidence of human rights violations related to the Russian occupation and armed aggression. These data will be used for further lawsuits against Russia in international courts.
