Kyiv records 704 new COVID-19 cases

Kyiv city recorded 704 new coronavirus cases on December 5, Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko wrote on his Facebook page.

“As many as 704 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in the capital over the past day, 21 people have died. Overall, 7,705 lethal cases from the virus have been recorded since the start of the pandemic. A total number of confirmed cases has reached 306,012,” he wrote.

Among people who have contracted COVID-19 in Kyiv over the course of the past day are 414 women aged 18-85 years, 275 men aged 18-86 years, 9 girls aged 3-16 years and 6 boys aged between 7 months and 15 years.

According to Klitschko, 34 patients with coronavirus, 109 patients with suspected COVID-19 and pneumonia were hospitalized on December 5.

At the same time, 1,081 people have recovered over the course of the past day. In total, 268,585 Kyiv residents have overcome the disease.

As reported, Ukraine recorded 4,478 new COVID-19 cases on December 5.
