Bad Roads longlisted for Oscars' Best International Feature Film

Bad Roads by Ukrainian director Natalka Vorozhbyt was included in the longlist for the Academy Award for Best International Feature Film.

“Natalka Vorozhbyt's Bad Roads film was longlisted for the Oscars. I'm not surprised as Ukrainian cinematography gathers pace and each time shows a new level of quality of shooting and scripts,” Minister of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine Oleksandr Tkachenko posted on Telegram.

He added that Bad Roads was made with the support of the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation, and the project was one of the last created by talented producer Yuri Minzyanov.

“I congratulate the film crew on this achievement and wish them to receive the statuette,” Tkachenko added.

As reported, Bad Roads is the full-length directorial debut of famous playwright and screenwriter Natalka Vorozhbyt.
