Ukraine ready to revaccinate 70% of population against coronavirus
Ukraine has agreements on the supply of 45 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines throughout 2022, which should be enough to revaccinate 70% of the adult population against coronavirus.
"Currently, Ukraine has agreements on the supply of 45 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines throughout 2022. These are 25 million doses of Pfizer vaccine, 6.5 million doses of CoronaVac vaccine, and 10 million doses under COVAX facility. That is, we can guarantee full revaccination of 70% of the population of Ukraine against coronavirus with two doses," Deputy Minister of Health of Ukraine, Chief State Sanitary Doctor Ihor Kuzin said at a briefing, Ukrinform reports.
According to the Ministry of Health, more than 13 million people in Ukraine received two doses of COVID-19 vaccine. Since the beginning of the vaccination campaign, 14,422,443 people have been vaccinated: 14,422,441 people received one dose, and 13,061,477 people received two doses. In addition, 171 people got an additional dose.
