PM Shmyhal: Digitalization of social services will save about 10B annually
The introduction of the Unified Information System for the Social Sphere (UISSS) will save about UAH 10 billion annually.
“Digitalization of social services has started this year. A new Unified Information System for the Social Sphere has been introduced, which will automate all the relevant processes, reduce the time of receiving services, and ensure their better targeting. The system will save about UAH 10 billion annually for the state budget,” Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal said at the Cabinet’s meeting on December 29, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.
He stressed that the implementation of this reform would create comfortable conditions for citizens and contribute to the efficiency of spending taxpayers' money.
In April 2021, the Cabinet of Ministers approved the Regulations on the Unified Information System for the Social Sphere. The UISSS is a unified comprehensive information-analytical system of the social sphere, designed for the accumulation, storage and automated processing of information on social protection. The holder of the UISSS is the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine.
